Construction Updates

Construction started on October 20, 2025.

Work completed in 2025 and 2026 to date:

  • Establish contract signing and PVMS

  • Temporary electrical work to provide power to Highway 7 high mast lighting during works

  • Remove concrete gore area and curb and gutter on S-E/W Ramp to permit Stage 2B traffic

  • Reconstruct Victoria and Bruce Street intersection

  • Construct sanitary and storm sewers

  • Demolition of Frederick Street Bridge took place on December 6, 2025

  • Substructure work completed

  • Peir Columns completed

  • Formwork/falsework installation on-going

Anticipated remaining work in 2026:

  • Complete formwork/falsework

  • Complete bridge deck

  • Highway staging work to reopen lanes on Hwy 7/85 prior to winter shutdown

Anticipated remaining work 2027:

  • Complete remain bridge work (barrier walls, expansion joints, approach slabs)

  • Bridge deck waterproofing and surface course paving

  • Complete final electrical work

  • Complete final municipal roadworks
